Mark Molter

I am a Child of God, Servant of Christ, Pastor in Training, Aspiring Writer and Theologian.

I graduated from Radford University in 2006. I worked a year at various temp jobs before I ended up spending a year abroad as a volunteer in the small village of  Vrbovce, Slovakia with the Young Adult in Global Mission program of the ELCA. I liked it so much I decided to return Slovakia. I then taught English at christian schools in Bratislava and in Tisovec.

I now live in Columbia, SC  where I am a student at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.

When I’m not studying and exploring the mysteries of faith, I like to visit new places and meet interesting people, ride my bike, read an assortment of books ranging from the Bible to science fiction and fantasy novels. I also enjoy watching foreign/independent films and eclectic TV shows.

My faith in Jesus Christ is an important aspect of how I live my life. I am learning everyday that God’s grace is abundant.

“Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.”
Martin Luther – The Reformation guy

“Christ has planted in the world the seeds of something altogether new, but they do not grow by themselves. Hence history has never yet really had a chance to become a Christian creation. For the world to be changed, man himself must begin to change it, he must take the initiative, he must step forth and make a new kind of history. The change begins within himself.”
